Recently, Deltares, Delft University of Technology and the Kluyver Centre, commissioned by the CSG Centre for Society and the Life Sciences, jointly developed the educational online game for the biobased economy ‘Green Island’ .
The game is aimed at VMBO secondary school students. In the game, Green Island is cut off from the outside world due to a bridge having been destroyed. Participants try to stay alive as long as possible by collaborating with each other, and by using available resources as efficiently as possible, creating a minimum amount of waste.
Furthermore the Florida contains the Biobased Kidshouse. This initiative BE-Basic, is a playing house completely made out of innovative green building materials.
