The Science Park Amsterdam newsletter recently published an interview with Ecogenomics Consortium managing director Bram Brouwer about his company BDS, an internationally operating commercial research laboratory that detects harmful substances in food and environment.
On a regular basis new bacteria arise that can harm our health. Nobody knows where they come from and what their function is. BDS solves these mysteries, by using a technique Bram Brouwer discovered: The cells emit light when they detect dioxin, he explains in the article.
