Scientists of the Centre for BioSystems Genomics have published no less than four visionary papers on key developments in plant biology in the last six months in the highly respected journal Trends in Plant Science.

Interestingly, the different articles share a common theme the molecular basis of plant growth and development and its environmental influence. This is an important topic regarding current discussions on future food security and one which has been identified as being of huge importance in national discussions on the future focus of Dutch research.

The four articles were published with the following titles:

  • Plants under continuous light
  • Plant molecular stress responses face climate change
  • MADS- the missing link between identity and growth
  • Redefining Plant Systems Biology
