The kick-off meeting of the new Netherlands Bioinformatic Centre (NBIC) Interoperability Taskforce (ITF) on January 6, 2011 generated promising interest.
The ITF aims to ensure the interoperability of data obtained from different methods. Initially, the ITF will focus on participating in the development of the Open PHACTS project. Within this international project, an open source and open access platform are being developed using a semantic web-based approach.
