113 proposals were submitted for the 7th and final round of the Horizon Breakthrough projects. Of these, 60 applications will be selected for peer review. Final decisions will be made in May.
Encompassing a broad spectrum in the field of genomics and bioinformatics, the Horizon programme again proves to be an important contributor to this field of research. Previous rounds of relatively short Breakthrough projects have resulted in multiple publications and have led to successful follow-up projects in the longer lasting Project rounds.
