CBSG publishes 4 times in Science

Friday, February 25, 2011

At the end of 2010 Centre for BioSystems Genomics (CBSG) scientists published another two articles in Science adding up to a record of four times within one year!

One paper described the results of a major international initiative involving two CBSG research groups to sequence the genome of a downy mildew species which is a major plant pathogen. Results reveal novel insights into genomic modifications related to the evolution of pathogenicity.

In the other paper, two CBSG Directors were invited to join forces and write an opinion paper on how flower fertilisation and fungal infection may have important molecular commonalities.
