The NGI Valorisation Advisory Board met in April to issue a strategic advice on the level of the individual NGI Genomics Centres, the NGI valorisation activities, and Life Sciences in general.
It came to the Board's attention that many valorisation activities and results of the NGI Genomics Centres are still underexposed (so-called hidden valorisation) and that they are not benefiting fully as
a result Moreover, the Board advised giving more attention to instruments such as Proof-of-Concept funds. It also stressed the importance of strong TTOs at the knowledge institutions and underwrote the choice for a decentralised approach.
