The Life Sciences field is strongly on the move. The Netherlands enjoys a leading scientific and economic position on many fronts. Our ambition is to consolidate this status and reinforce it wherever possible. That calls for continuity in policy. We must build forth on our strengths, as expressed in key areas by the Innovation Platform.
Also important is that we position the Netherlands internationally as
a single bioregion. Players from the various Life Sciences sectors,
such as health, food, agriculture, chemicals and energy are hard at work writing their vision 2020. Also those areas that are important to all sectors, such as valorisation, technology, education and societal aspects, are formulating their vision and recommendation.
NGI combines those visions in a book, which will be presented on
20 October during the Life Sciences Momentum 2009 - ‘Empowering the future’ in the Hague. Spread the word, participate and be sure to come!
