In order to enhance valorisation of academic results, NGI launches a new initiative: the NGI Venture Challenge. Teams of researchers and entrepreneurs of all NGI Genomics Centres are challenged to draw up a business case, a strategy and a financial plan for a potential new business opportunity.
Two experienced business managers will coach the teams and offer feedback. At the end of the Challenge the teams will pitch in front of a jury.
Aim of the NGI Venture Challenge is to promote start-ups. The winning team may look forward to funding for (initial) development of the start-up. At the Genomics Momentum 2008, 11 November, the winner will be announced.
