From Sunday 4 March 2012 onwards, a new season of the television series ´Lang zullen we leven´ (Let us live long) will be broadcasted by RTL4.
This second series on the world of DNA will be presented by Koert-Jan de Bruijn. Three different NGI Centres were involved in producing the program: the Netherlands Metabolomics Centre, the Centre for Medical Systems Biology, and the Cancer Genomics Centre.
In this second series, a number of illnesses is highlighted and the solution that DNA research can provide herein. Migraine, depression, obesity and cancer are some of the topics discussed. Koert-Jan de Bruijn searches for these solutions and discovers that DNA research is not scary, but has a lot to offer. During his search, he meets various scientists, hears stories of patients first-hand, conducts tests in the lab, visits companies involved, tests the knowledge of common people and in between explains the viewer all sorts of things on DNA and the diseases at hand.
