Venture Challenge spring 2010 participant retrieves seed funding
Dutch biomaterials company Nano Fiber Matrices B.V. announced the successful completion of a seed financing round. Nano Fiber Matrices focuses on the development of matrices for 2D and 3D culture of adherent cells. The present round of financing will enable Nano Fiber Matrices to commercialise its first line of nanofiber matrix-enhanced tissue culture devices.

Venture Challenge spring 2011 participant Waste2Chemical successful in Pre-Seed Grant and start-up competitions
After receiving 20,000 euro in July as the winner of the New Venture Biodiversity competition, and after receiving a Pre-Seed Grand in the programmes seventh round, recently Waste2Chemical also won the Climate-KIC Venture Competition NL. Next to winning a prize of 15.000 euro, Waste2Chemical will also act as one of two start-ups that represent the Netherlands at the European Climate-KIC Venture Competition in the Innovation Festival in Budapest.

Venture Challenge spring 2010 winner nominated for Food Valley Award
ClearDetections was nominated for the Food Valley Award 2011. The jury of the Food Valley Award 2011 voted ClearDetections and two other initiatives to be the most distinctive in terms of innovation, collaboration and corporate social responsibility.
