During the recent Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality national seminar in the World Forum in The Hague, “The GM debate; building roads for discussion”,organised by the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, a number of pieces of art designed by primary school children under the theme “Potato – what’s in it?” were exhibited. These pieces had been commissioned from the Art foundation EduArt in a collaboration between the Centre for Biosystems Genomics (CBSG) and two (inter)national projects. This is just one of the recent initiatives of the CBSG Societal Outreach Programme aimed to involve children in science.
