Researchers of the Netherlands Proteomics Centre (NPC), Utrecht University, the Hubrecht Institute, Utrecht, and Leiden University Medical Centre (LUMC), have reported on a significant advance in the understanding of stem cell differentiation using proteomics technology. The results are published in the high profile journal Cell Stem Cell, shedding light on how we can manipulate and programme stem cells to specific fates, creating a source of tissue replacement for regenerative medicine purposes.
