The DNA Labs on the Road are visiting this year pop festival Lowlands. The lab will be in the festival from 19 - 21 August at Llowlab, an island at Lowlands about science and new technology.
Visitors can make bioethanol from yeast in the DNA-lab 'Racing with toilet paper'. They also have the possibility to isolate their own DNA, which they can take with them as a necklace. The isolated DNA of the visitors will also be hung in a DNA tree, together to create the genome of Lowlands.
The three activities are organised by:
- DNA-lab Delft (Science Centre Delft) - Yeast energy
- UMCU / CGC - DNA necklaces
- UMCU / CGC - the genome of Lowlands
