NGI is one of the founding partners of BioGeneration Ventures Fund. This fund is dedicated to assisting start-ups and early stage companies seeking to commercialise cutting-edge research in life sciences. On 10 September 2007, Mucosis BV in Groningen announced the successful completion of a € 3 million first round of financing.
BioGeneration Ventures was lead investor in this equity transaction. Thanks to this funding, Mucosis can advance its innovative vaccine development platform GEMs into the clinic. GEMs provides a strong, proprietary basis for new and better vaccines to combat infectious diseases. The market opportunities are considerable.
Besides financial input, the investors provide access to expertise that is essential for the further growth of Mucosis.
